Eyeliner for men (Aka : Guy-liner) The Dos’ and Don'ts
Guys wearing makeup? I’m sure some of you out there are reading this and thinking NO NO NO. Others might be more open to the idea.
Contrary to popular belief, I don’t believe eyeliner has to be restricted to “Women only”. If a man wants to wear eyeliner, why not? There is however, a fine line between “just enough” for that rock star appeal, to “too much" that just looks messy.
Things to remember:
Of course creativity is always welcome!
However, same rules that apply to women, LESS IS MORE.
Don't over do the liner, simply apply a small amount of black liner starting from the outside of your bottom lash line and moving inwards. If you feel like you still want more, you can even opt for the top lash line, just don't go all the way to the inner corner and tear duct area. (it will take a little practice)
For guys who are into more drasticlooks (including shadows or mascara) I don't suggest them as “every day” shool/work looks.
And just to clear things up, you don't have to be gay to wear it. It doesn't make you gay if you do. Make up is just another way to express creativity, individuality, and to have fun!
Some examples of all time favorite guy liner:
Pete Wentz uses just the right amount, and always rocks his liner!
