Overall health:
(The obvious stuff)
- Drink Water!!!
Can’t stress to you enough how important it is to hydrate. It’s good for your skin, hair, and body!
- Eating healthy isn’t only good for the inside body, but can show on the outside too!
greens like spinach help hair growth! a salad a day is a good way to guarantee you are at least getting something healthy in.
- Exercise! Get your blood circulating, and sweat out all the toxins in your body!
- Sleep! Unless dark circles and puffy eyes are your thing...
Nails:
-Its better to file your nails than to use trimmers, but make sure you filing one direction. This will save you from splitting your nails
-Using cuticle cream daily can strengths your nails and boost their health. ( we recommend Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream)
a home made solution would be olive oil which can replenish and smooth out rough nails!
Hair:
-Wash daily to every other day depending on your hair type.
You might have heard that washing it to much can cause it to dry out, but deep conditioning fixes that!
(Its important to wash your hair also for the sake of your skin as well. The oils from the scalp can seep down to the face and cause redness and acne, not to mention OILY SKIN: /)
- Conditioning hair is a major YES especially during the dry winter season.
Hair masques can also help moisturize hair (we suggest using a hair masque every week to two weeks)
- To keep split ends away its best to get a trim every 6 to 8 weeks (I cut my own every 4 weeks, and my bangs every 3 to maximize growth. xxoo-Kameko : p)
-Minimize the use of heat tools such as STRAIGHTENERS. Restrain yourself from frying your hair everyday (try 3 or 4 days per week)
The way we think of it- it hurts yours skin then you burn yourself on curling iron or strengthener, so imagine how you hair must feel! (This also goes for blow dryers)
Beauty (makeup):
- Strengthen and moisturize your eye lashes by carefully rubbing Vaseline (petroleum jelly) onto each lash every night, just don’t get any in your eyes!
- Home made Face scrubs and washes once a week or so can help refresh and boost your skin! we will be adding some D.I.Y. videos on good home made face scrubs and toners soon !
You will find that using every day items can give you a better knowledge of what’s really going on your skin and why it will be helpful to it.
- Although makeup remover wipes might be fast and easy, they can be pretty harsh on your skin! Try a liquid cleanser instead. (about $7 a CVS you can get a 6.4 fl oz bottle of remover)
- Okay this might sound like a weird one but...clean your cell phone! Why? Well because... Do you know where that things been? Or how or what touches it (stop thinking dirty things)
When you are talking on the phone unless you’re on speaker phone, its usually pretty close to your face. The transfer of oils is likely to cause redness or breakouts :(
- If you have dark Circles, green tea can help!
Boils some water and drop your green tea bag in (cool for about 5 min)
And lay it under your eyes and near the brow bone. This will instantly reduce puffiness!
